It went well!

We are so thankful to God and so proud of our little man. Eli was in surgery for about 2 hours yesterday afternoon. The surgeon said it was a good day and everything went well. Eli got so hungry since he couldn't eat for a day before the surgery, but he only whimpered once in a while. He sucked on his paci for all he was worth, hoping to get something. He'll be able to eat again next week when his intestines heal up. We thank God for your prayers- Jenny and I felt so protected and peaceful through it all, it was surreal. We know that Eli is under the shadow of the Almighty! Please continue to agree with us in prayer that his intestine will mend completely with no leaks and no constrictions. We know that God is faithful!!!
Jenny stayed last night at the hospital. We really want these next few days to be over- it is exhausting. We want so badly for him to come home and be done with all of this. We love you and are so grateful for your love & encouragement!

Grandma and Grandpa T are so glad the surgery part is over but know the next few days will be exhausting. Praying for abundant quality rest even in short spells and for special grace to be alert when needed. We love you too.

Jenny, Will and Eli,

The next step toward Eli coming home is his surgery and recovery. Great news that things went well. Each day is one less day of hospital time. We love you and hope each day gets better and better. Just think, one day soon this hospital part will be a 'memory' instead of 'your present experience'.

Thank you so much for the update!! We are so thankful that God is so good! Everytime a worry wanted to creep in I heard your father saying "The blessing of the Lord maketh rich and He adds no sorrow to it"!!!! Amen and Amen!

We certainly agree with you that he will heal quickly and completely in Jesus' name! He'll be chowing through Jenny's storage freezer! We also pray that he'll continue to gain weight even while his intestines are healing.

We love you guys and so appreciate you keeping us posted.

Love,
Tim, Jeanne, Justin and Katie
